Medical Disclaimer
Last updated: May 12, 2026
Breame is an educational program, not medical care. It does not replace your obstetrician, midwife, or any other licensed healthcare provider. Always consult a qualified professional about your individual pregnancy and birth.
1. Not medical advice
The content provided by Breame, including the 90-day program, written materials, illustrations, exercise instructions, breath techniques, and any communication from us, is for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment and is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical care.
Breame's founder is not a licensed physician. While Breame draws on established physiology and birth preparation principles, the content is generalized and cannot account for your individual medical history, current condition, or pregnancy risk factors.
2. Always consult your healthcare provider
Before beginning the Breame program, and at any point during your pregnancy:
- Speak with your obstetrician, midwife, or primary care provider
- Disclose your full medical history, including any current medications
- Share the program with them if you have any concerns about participating
- Follow their guidance over anything written in our materials
If your provider advises against any aspect of the program, stop that activity immediately and follow their advice.
3. Conditions requiring extra caution
You must obtain explicit clearance from your healthcare provider before participating in the movement portions of the program if any of the following apply to you:
- High-risk pregnancy designation
- Placenta previa, vasa previa, or placenta accreta
- Pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, or pregnancy-induced hypertension
- Gestational diabetes
- Bed-rest or activity-restriction orders
- Multiple pregnancy (twins, triplets, etc.)
- Cervical insufficiency or history of preterm labor
- Vaginal bleeding
- Cardiovascular, pulmonary, or musculoskeletal conditions
- Persistent severe abdominal, back, or pelvic pain
- Any condition that limits exercise tolerance
This list is not exhaustive. When in doubt, ask your provider before doing the exercises.
4. Not for emergencies
Breame is not designed for and should not be used in emergencies. If you experience any of the following, seek immediate medical attention by calling your provider or your local emergency number:
- Vaginal bleeding
- Persistent or severe abdominal or chest pain
- Sudden swelling, severe headaches, or vision changes
- Reduced or no fetal movement
- Leaking amniotic fluid before 37 weeks
- Regular contractions before 37 weeks
- Difficulty breathing, fainting, or rapid heartbeat at rest
- Any other symptom that concerns you
5. No guaranteed outcomes
Birth outcomes are influenced by many factors outside the control of any preparation program, your individual physiology, your baby's position, your medical history, your care team's decisions, and circumstances that arise during labor. While many women report feeling more prepared and at ease after using Breame, we make no guarantees about any specific birth outcome, including:
- Whether you will avoid medical interventions or surgical delivery
- The duration or intensity of your labor
- Any specific health outcomes for you or your baby
Testimonials and statistics displayed on this site reflect the experiences of individual users and are not promises of similar results.
6. Listen to your body
Stop any exercise or practice that causes pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, cramping, or any other concerning sensation. Some discomfort during gentle pregnancy-adapted movement is normal; sharp pain is not. When in doubt, stop and consult your provider.
7. Assumption of risk
By using Breame, you acknowledge that you understand the limitations described above, that you are voluntarily participating in the program, and that you assume full responsibility for any decisions you make based on the program's content. You agree to consult your healthcare provider and to use the program as a complement to, not a replacement for, professional medical care.
